About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide personalized, elevated service in a welcoming, nature-inspired setting
- Guide guests through seasonal menus and beverage offerings
- Follow steps of service consistently
- Anticipate guest needs and provide prompt, thoughtful attention
- Greet and engage guests with enthusiasm, poise, and genuine hospitality
- Accurately account for allergies, preferences, and needs
- Take and input orders using the Toast POS system
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely, polished manner
- Offer tableside wine service and beverage presentations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization across service areas
- Process payments accurately according to café standards
- Conduct menu tours and explain dish preparation, ingredient sourcing, and local purveyors
- Explain specials and seasonal updates
- Recommend food and drink pairings
- Educate guests on wines, craft beers, non-alcoholic drinks, and specialty coffees
- Complete seasonal menu testing as directed
- Support teammates and collaborate during service
- Participate in daily team meetings and seasonal tastings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience in an elevated, high-volume environment preferred
- Friendly, guest-focused communicator with a poised, professional presence
- Ability to multitask while staying calm and organized under pressure
- Passionate about hospitality, food, and sustainability
- Familiarity with POS systems (Toast)
- Flexible availability preferred, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and select holidays
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to stand, bend, reach, and move for extended periods
