About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide personalized, elevated service in a welcoming, nature-inspired setting
Guide guests through seasonal menus and beverage offerings
Follow steps of service consistently
Anticipate guest needs and provide prompt, thoughtful attention
Greet and engage guests with enthusiasm, poise, and genuine hospitality
Accurately account for allergies, preferences, and needs
Take and accurately input orders using the Toast POS system
Deliver food and beverages in a timely and polished manner
Offer tableside wine service and beverage presentations
Maintain cleanliness and organization across service areas
Process payments accurately according to café standards
Conduct menu tours demonstrating knowledge of dish preparation, ingredient sourcing, and local purveyors
Explain specials and seasonal updates
Recommend food and drink pairings
Educate guests on wines, craft beers, non-alcoholic drinks, and specialty coffees
Complete seasonal menu testing as directed
Support teammates and collaborate during service
Adapt to evolving guest needs and pacing
Participate in daily team meetings and seasonal tastings

Requirements

What you’ll need

Previous experience in an elevated, high-volume environment preferred
Friendly, guest-focused communicator with a poised, professional presence
Ability to multitask while staying calm and organized under pressure
Passionate about hospitality, food, and sustainability
Familiarity with POS systems (Toast)
Flexible availability preferred; may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and select holidays
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move for extended periods
