About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support daily operational functions within the designated buying area
  • Support the buying team in managing overall merchandise flow
  • Develop cross-functional relationships with market and internal partners, including distribution center, design, and production
  • Partner with the Buyer and/or Associate Buyer on necessary tasks
  • Own web turnover and product information
  • Manage sample requests and SKU tracking for web photo samples, creative, visual, and marketing requests
  • Maintain digital photographs of items on order and in development
  • Support product development through sample management
  • Track shipping and receiving and return samples to vendors promptly
  • Communicate changes and updates to cross-functional teams and critical partners
  • Conduct weekly web audits to verify styles and colors are activated, identify errors, review customer feedback, and report findings
  • Build positive relationships with current vendors and manage sample inquiry communication
  • Prepare samples, picture packs, reports, and documentation for weekly business analysis using OTB, velocity, attribute reports, and color projections
  • Provide requested information promptly, keep partners informed, and anticipate needs and questions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with a sense of urgency
  • Understanding of customer wants and needs and ability to identify appropriate products/trends
  • Ability to prioritize projects and handle multiple tasks
  • Creative thinking
  • Rudimentary understanding of retail math
  • 1–2 years of retail experience or internship
