About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver design for Digital Experience roadmap initiatives across web and app, prioritizing the browse path across the full funnel
  • Own end-to-end design of assigned digital products and features from concept through execution
  • Provide design input on effort and feasibility for roadmap planning
  • Conduct and apply user research, usability testing and data insights
  • Use heatmaps, session recordings and surveys to identify friction points and design opportunities
  • Partner with Testing to develop testable hypotheses for the A/B testing calendar
  • Design and prototype variants for A/B and multivariate tests
  • Iterate designs based on test results, analytics and customer feedback
  • Deliver test-ready design assets on committed timelines
  • Drive concepting and experience ideation from early exploration to testable, buildable designs
  • Partner with Personalization experts to design tailored content and journeys by customer segment
  • Explore emerging technologies, including AI-enabled design workflows
  • Contribute to and evolve the design system and digital style guides
  • Create wireframes, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity mockups
  • Conduct VQA on landing pages and feature builds
  • Ensure designs meet WCAG accessibility standards and perform responsively across devices
  • Support the upcoming site replatform by translating existing experiences and components into the new platform
  • Partner with URBN Technology on technology-driven initiatives and feature rollouts
  • Collaborate with Anthropologie and Free People UI teams on shared patterns and components
  • Work with Dynamic Yield, Contentful and Salesforce vendor partners
  • Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders
  • Contribute to presentations, workshops and design documentation
  • Champion design thinking across the team and wider business

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in UX/UI design
  • Strong portfolio showcasing e-commerce and/or fashion-related web and app work
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Solid understanding of responsive, mobile-first design and accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Experience designing for A/B tests or using performance data to iterate on live experiences
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on committed timelines in an agile environment
  • Bachelor's degree in interaction design, visual communication, human-computer interaction, or a related field (preferred)
  • Experience working across multiple brands or a shared design system (preferred)
  • Experience with AI-enabled design or content workflows (preferred)
  • Passion for fashion, culture and the Urban Outfitters brand (preferred)
