About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support underwriters in improving business-segment efficiency and making risk selection and pricing decisions
Respond directly to distribution partner requests and provide timely service
Review reports or risks within designated authority and make recommendations on items outside authority
Recommend workflow improvements to the underwriting supervisor
Complete preparatory underwriting tasks for quotes, new policies, and renewal policies according to corporate workflow
Process amendment requests within authority levels according to corporate workflow
Serve as the primary contact for agency CSRs regarding follow-up and maintenance of underwriting file information
Underwrite small renewal policies within authority levels

Requirements

What you’ll need

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required
Associate's Degree preferred
Equivalent work experience preferred
Full-time salaried, exempt (non overtime eligible) position
Candidates who have accepted a formal offer must undergo a comprehensive background check and drug screen
Additional credit or MVR screening may be required for some positions
