About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review assigned projects for scope, constructability, and sequencing
  • Conduct pre-construction walkouts with vendors and internal teams
  • Verify locate ticket status and ensure valid locates are in place prior to excavation
  • Issue required 48-hour notices
  • Coordinate specialty services such as GPR, core drilling, line adjustments, and FDOT scheduling
  • Confirm permits, traffic control requirements, and jurisdictional approvals before work begins
  • Identify field conflicts and coordinate resolution with engineering and management
  • Meet with foremen and vendors daily to review work plans, expectations, and job sequencing
  • Monitor GPM check-ins and production updates
  • Ensure vendors and crews have required documentation, certifications, equipment, and follow approved construction methods
  • Verify crew assignments for aerial, underground, and boring work
  • Enforce jurisdictional work-hour restrictions and coordinate daily MOT needs
  • Conduct site inspections and QA/QC checks for quality, safety, compliance, restoration, and production completion
  • Troubleshoot field challenges, technical issues, unexpected conditions, map discrepancies, damages, and field changes
  • Submit end-of-shift reports, damage reports, MOT updates, and QA/QC documentation
  • Keep GPM updated on production, rejections, corrections, and completions
  • Communicate with management, clients, cities, jurisdictions, crews, homeowners, and the public
  • Monitor material availability, traffic control requests, yard organization, and equipment readiness
  • Assist with field crew training and reinforcement of standards
  • Serve as the on-site operational leader accountable for field execution, productivity, compliance, safety, reporting, and timely production goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
  • Strong knowledge of field construction, vendor management, and project coordination
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans, drawings, maps, and diagrams
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively coordinate crews, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to different project sites throughout the Western U.S. market
