About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review assigned projects for scope, constructability, and sequencing
  • Conduct pre-construction walkouts with vendors and internal teams
  • Verify locate ticket status and ensure valid locates are in place before excavation
  • Issue required 48-hour notices
  • Coordinate specialty services, permits, traffic control requirements, and jurisdictional approvals
  • Identify and resolve field conflicts with engineering and management
  • Coordinate daily work plans, crew assignments, production updates, and MOT needs
  • Conduct site inspections and QA/QC checks
  • Ensure compliance with construction methods, depth requirements, aerial attachment standards, safety regulations, and PPE requirements
  • Verify restoration and timely completion of production units
  • Troubleshoot field challenges, technical issues, map discrepancies, damages, and field changes
  • Submit daily and project reports, including end-of-shift, damage, MOT, and QA/QC reports
  • Communicate with management, clients, cities, jurisdictions, crews, and the public
  • Monitor materials, traffic control requests, yard organization, and equipment readiness
  • Assist with field crew training and reinforcement of standards
  • Serve as the on-site operational leader accountable for field execution, productivity, compliance, safety, reporting, and production goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
  • Strong knowledge of field construction, vendor management, and project coordination
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans, drawings, maps, and diagrams
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively coordinate crews, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to different project sites throughout the Western U.S. market
