About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the professional, financial and strategic development of the land agency together with another Managing Director
- Professional, personnel and operational leadership of a 30-person team
- Further development of the business areas of ecological accounts, ecological compensation, landscape planning and environmental planning
- Development of new business areas, services and partnerships, as well as positioning the company in the market
- Financial, liquidity and resource planning
- Advising project developers, landowners, land users and other partners
- Cooperation with municipalities and public authorities
- Acquisition of new projects and partnership opportunities
- Further development of an effective organizational structure
- Quality assurance for technical studies, planning activities and project implementation
- Presentation of results, for example at meetings with public authorities
- Representing the land agency among professional stakeholders, in politics and in networks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed university degree, for example in landscape planning, landscape ecology, biology, geoecology, agricultural sciences, forestry, environmental sciences, business administration or public administration
- Strong interest in nature conservation and environmental issues
- Leadership experience and experience managing demanding projects
- Experience in the financial management of an organization
- Several years of professional experience in relevant technical planning, implementation of measures or land management
- Knowledge of nature conservation, environmental, planning and administrative law
- Strong drive to shape and implement initiatives, along with excellent negotiation skills
- Enjoyment of networking and balancing different interests
- Willingness to travel and a valid Category B driving licence
