About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and implement technical, re-sourcing, logistics, and VPS materials productivity and reservoir in line with budget requirements
Support the commodity organization and Segment Leaders in achieving site negotiation objectives
Lead MSC material productivity actions and involve suppliers according to budget timing
Monitor supplier relationships when assigned Key Account Purchasing responsibility
Implement PG/PL worldwide materials standards at site locations
Build site budgets with the Site Purchasing Manager and Segment Leaders
Implement mitigation action plans at site level
Ensure logistics protocol coverage for all bought-out parts
Apply V5000 Supplier Integration standards, certifications, procedures, purchasing tools, and information systems
Monitor purchasing index, supplier rationalization, productivity reservoir, and quality incident KPIs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive purchasing
Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated significant past achievements
Ability to identify cost reduction opportunities
Knowledge of Asian markets, including operator costs and machine hourly rates by country
Chinese language skills are advantageous
Familiarity with AI
Must have a driving license and car
Must confirm that day roundtrips will be completed using their car when extra work is required
Ability to understand technical drawings
Process automation background is a plus
