About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Field Reimbursement Managers across assigned manufacturer programs
- Foster accountability, collaboration, patient-centered support, and continuous improvement
- Conduct field observations, coaching sessions, performance reviews, and development planning
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and succession planning
- Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard field reimbursement talent
- Serve as a strategic business partner to pharmaceutical manufacturer clients
- Participate in governance meetings, business reviews, launch planning, and strategic initiatives
- Present program performance, trends, insights, and recommendations to leadership and clients
- Build relationships with client leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and program performance
- Ensure successful execution of field reimbursement services
- Monitor program metrics, workload distribution, productivity, and quality standards
- Develop and implement processes improving efficiency and scalability
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Compliance, Technology, and Training teams
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and contractual obligations
- Provide leadership on reimbursement, prior authorizations, appeals, benefits investigations, claims processing, coding and billing, payer policies, specialty pharmacy, buy-and-bill, and patient support programs
- Remain current on reimbursement trends, payer policy changes, and access challenges
- Support product launches and lifecycle management
- Develop field deployment strategies and territory optimization recommendations
- Analyze customer insights and market trends
- Partner on resource planning and forecasting
- Drive continuous process improvement
- Collaborate with Client Services, Commercial Leadership, Operations, Training, Quality Assurance, Compliance, Human Resources, Analytics, Technology, Project Management, and Medical Affairs
- Monitor and improve customer satisfaction, field productivity, case outcomes, provider engagement, quality, compliance, employee performance, client satisfaction, and financial performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of FRM leadership experience
- 8+ years of pharmaceutical reimbursement, patient access, market access, or specialty pharmacy experience
- 5+ years of people leadership experience
- Experience leading field-based teams
- Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and payer processes
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical manufacturer programs
- Excellent leadership and coaching skills
- Strong presentation and executive communication abilities
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic business recommendations
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and reporting platforms
- Ability to travel approximately 50-75%
- Preferred: experience supporting multiple therapeutic areas
- Preferred: product launch experience
- Preferred: national account or field leadership experience
- Preferred: experience managing manufacturer clients
- Ability to talk or hear, sit for long periods, type, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
- Preferred ability to type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy
- Successful completion of a background check and, depending on the position, a drug screen
