About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide education and reimbursement support to healthcare providers and authorized office staff
- Combine virtual account support with targeted in-field engagement
- Manage virtual and field-based account engagement across the assigned geography
- Travel up to approximately 40% to healthcare provider offices, oncology practices, health systems, academic medical centers, infusion centers, client meetings, conferences, and internal meetings
- Support prior authorizations, appeals, claims, coding and billing education, and reimbursement-related provider education
- Identify reimbursement trends and proactively develop account-level strategies
- Prioritize accounts and activities based on business need, access complexity, and potential impact
- Build strong provider partnerships and deliver in-person and virtual presentations
- Identify and escalate access barriers and complex reimbursement issues
- Manage territory activities and accurately document activity
- Use only approved resources and materials and operate within established program and compliance guidelines
- Provide insights to improve the overall provider access experience
- Do not provide clinical advice
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum requirement of 2–4 years of oncology Field Reimbursement Manager experience or directly relevant oncology reimbursement/access experience
- Extensive relevant oncology FRM experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree
- Previous experience as an Oncology Field Reimbursement Manager, Field Access Manager, Reimbursement Business Manager, or similar field-based reimbursement role
- Strong understanding of oncology reimbursement across medical and pharmacy benefit models
- Experience with buy-and-bill products, specialty pharmacy distribution, infusion therapies, and/or provider-administered medications
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer reimbursement processes
- Experience supporting prior authorizations, appeals, claims, coding and billing education, and reimbursement-related provider education
- Experience with community oncology practices, large health systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and/or academic medical centers
- Experience delivering in-person and virtual presentations to healthcare professionals and office staff
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and field activity reporting
- Strong knowledge of payer policies, reimbursement pathways, billing and coding concepts, prior authorization processes, and appeals
- Ability to translate complex reimbursement information into clear, actionable education
- Ability to identify reimbursement trends and develop account-level strategies
- Strong organizational and territory-management skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to escalate complex reimbursement issues
- Ability to type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy preferred
- Flexibility to travel as needed preferred
- Ability to complete a background check and, depending on the position, a drug screen
