About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee contractor personnel and Task Order performance, including technical delivery and P&L
- Manage cybersecurity and information technology federal engagements
- Support the evolution of the Government customer's IT posture
- Participate in Valiant’s Knowledge Centers and develop expertise in emerging cybersecurity tools and techniques
- Lead teams in documenting program accomplishments through whitepapers, briefing materials, and proposals
- Execute with limited direction and proactively anticipate customer needs
- Own all project deliverables
- Interface with federal employees and contractors
- Perform strategic planning, solution development, and FISMA assessments
- Ensure projects and enhancements meet requirements and are completed within schedule, cost, and performance constraints
- Monitor projects and provide timely project assessments
- Participate in status meetings with key customer personnel and communicate status and risks
- Develop project management plans, work breakdown structures and schedules, risk mitigation plans, and project timelines
- Track project progress, risks, issues, and proposed resolutions against Service Level Agreements
- Perform operations and project management for IT deliverables and task orders
- Ensure deliverables are timely and quality reviewed, including SOPs, configuration guides, training documentation, and project schedules
- Establish project schedules and plans with Government stakeholders
- Track performance management evaluations against project plans
- Deliver weekly team and project status reports, bi-weekly program reports, timesheet reviews, and performance metric analyses
- Provide presentations and develop demonstrations for program reporting
- Provide technical support for systems engineering, integration, service design, and delivery task areas
- Facilitate requirements and data gathering
- Develop and refine performance management metrics aligned with program goals and deliverable requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of Program Management experience with federal government agencies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, related degree or an additional three (3) years of relevant experience
- PMP required
- 5+ years of knowledge and practical understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance
- Experience managing personnel in multiple locations across the United States
- Experience interfacing with senior levels of customer organizations
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing projects with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work towards a strict deadline
- Strong background and understanding of cybersecurity principles, industry security requirements, and best practices
- Domain expertise and implementation experience providing best practices and recommendations to support the resolution of project challenges, both business and technical
- Ability to lead in an Agile framework, including backlog grooming, task creation, Definition of Done, daily scrum, and retrospectives
- Proven experience leading and executing executive presentations, demonstrations, and reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work core business hours aligned with coworkers and Valiant's clients
- Quiet and distraction-free workspace with adequate internet for telework
- Required to disclose current or future outside employment engagements and obtain written approval
