About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, secure, maintain, and document data processing systems
- Propose developments and contribute to platform enhancements with the Platform teams
- Implement processing pipelines to integrate the required data and provide it to teams, solutions, and partners
- Ensure the effective organization of technical activities within the scope of responsibility
- Establish best practices and methodologies to ensure performance, security, compliance, and maintainability
- Work closely with the Data Engineering Manager, Platform teams, and business teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Expertise in object-oriented programming with Python
- Knowledge of Databricks, Airflow, SQL, and Git/GitHub
- Strong technical curiosity
- Ability to structure work and deliverables, including reusability, Agile methodologies, testing, documentation, and CI/CD
- Strong interest in Data Quality and a rigorous approach to validating inputs, outputs, and automated tests
- Strong investigative and root cause analysis skills
- Ability to challenge business requirements, develop appropriate solutions, and explain technical considerations
- Written and spoken English proficiency required, at least B2 level
- Knowledge of the retail industry, ideally retail media
