About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate shipments using common carriers, freight providers, and delivery services
  • Obtain freight quotes and estimate shipping costs
  • Schedule and coordinate shipment pickups and deliveries
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating local delivery routes
  • Track shipments and monitor delivery status
  • Communicate with customers regarding shipment schedules, shipment details, delivery status, payment requirements, and shipping-related questions
  • Support customer service activities and order-related inquiries
  • Assist with order entry, order maintenance, and customer account support
  • Provide updates on order status and related customer requests
  • Process customer payments related to shipments and orders
  • Prepare and process invoices following shipment completion
  • Review and approve shipping-related invoices and charges
  • Track shipping-related items and maintain associated records
  • Maintain accurate shipping, billing, and customer records and documentation
  • Assess and resolve shipping and customer concerns according to established procedures
  • Complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner while managing multiple shipments, requests, and priorities
  • Support timely and accurate order fulfillment and delivery activities
  • Partner with customer service, production, shipping, accounting, sales, and other departments
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and workplace standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's or technical degree in business, communication, customer service, logistics, supply chain, accounting, or a related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of customer service, administrative, shipping, logistics, transportation, accounting, order processing, or related experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of customer service, shipping, logistics, and office workflows
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers, carriers, and internal team members
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve routine customer service and shipping-related issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business systems
  • Ability to learn company products, processes, systems, and shipping procedures
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with team members
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
