About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Run complex software delivery end to end for a long-term client engagement.
Plan, manage and control project scope, budget and timeline.
Act as the main day-to-day client contact and own the project-level client relationship.
Negotiate scope, priorities and change requests.
Identify and manage risks, dependencies and technical issues with tech leads.
Allocate work and manage team workload.
Keep distributed teams aligned, motivated and productive.
Run Agile ceremonies and improve delivery processes.
Provide regular status, risk and budget reporting to clients and internal management.
Give performance feedback and contribute to team-member development.
At Lead level, mentor other project managers and contribute to delivery standards across the account.
The posting also contains a separate Senior Data Engineer section describing design and implementation of cloud data platforms, batch/streaming pipelines, AI/GenAI data systems, governance, observability and collaboration with data and ML teams.

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of project management experience in a software development environment, including at least 3 years in client-facing roles at a service company or agency.
Technically strong, with understanding of architecture, integrations, APIs, environments and release processes; able to challenge estimates and identify technical risk.
Strong command of Agile/Scrum and hybrid delivery setups.
Proven ownership of scope, timeline and budget on medium to large projects.
Experience managing several projects or workstreams simultaneously.
Experience leading distributed teams across countries and time zones.
Excellent stakeholder management, including senior client contacts.
Strong negotiation skills on scope, timelines and change requests.
Clear, structured verbal and written communication.
Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence and MS Office.
English at B2+, with confident spoken English for client calls.
Professional PM certifications (PMP, PSM, PRINCE2) are nice to have.
For the Senior Data Engineer content: strong hands-on experience with Apache Spark and Delta Lake; strong Python and SQL; batch and streaming pipelines; production-grade data platforms; data modeling, quality and governance; Databricks Lakehouse Platform; deep expertise in at least one major cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure/Fabric); lakehouse architectures and distributed systems; scalability, reliability and performance understanding.
