Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a humanities field from US Schools (English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing, etc.)
  • Master’s or higher preferred
  • 1+ years of teaching experience in English and/or experience working in a college-level Writing Center
  • Demonstrated academic excellence (e.g., 3.5+ GPA)
  • Strong verbal skills and mastery of the English language
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites
  • Reliable internet connection and a workspace with minimal noise/distraction
  • Commitment to work during the stated hours of operations
  • Experience teaching at the college or community college level preferred/ideal
  • Robust understanding of classroom pedagogy
  • Ability to create customized, engaging lesson plans using practical, real-world examples
  • Desire to help students reach their fullest potential
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
