About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and develop a blended onshore and offshore engineering team
- Provide coaching, performance management, and career development while driving accountability
- Own end-to-end delivery of cloud-based and AI/ML platform initiatives, including AWS SageMaker and internally developed solutions
- Translate business and technology priorities into delivery plans covering scope, dependencies, risks, and resource needs
- Establish structured planning, tracking, and reporting using JIRA or similar tools
- Communicate delivery status, timelines, risks, and progress to stakeholders and leadership
- Partner with engineering, product, and business teams to align priorities and enable platform adoption
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve blockers, and improve delivery processes and team effectiveness
- Monitor and report delivery performance and platform scalability
- Support staffing, resource allocation, and budget planning
- Ensure adherence to technology, risk, and security standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of experience in IT delivery, engineering management, or program delivery roles
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Proven people management experience leading engineering or technical teams
- Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end delivery outcomes
- Strong experience with delivery planning and forecasting
- Experience managing timelines, dependencies, and risks
- Experience communicating delivery status to senior leadership
- Experience working with Agile delivery teams and tools such as JIRA
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience delivering solutions on cloud platforms, primarily AWS
- Working experience with AI/ML platforms, preferably SageMaker
- Must not require visa sponsorship; Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position
