About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide operational and strategic risk guidance, oversight, and independent challenge to Personal Wealth leaders and enterprise partners
- Identify, assess, and prioritize existing and emerging risks
- Advise business partners on mitigation strategies, control design, and control effectiveness
- Lead and support risk management strategies aligned with business objectives and Vanguard's overall risk strategy
- Partner with business teams on new products, services, processes, and initiatives
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the risk and control environment and recommend enhancements
- Provide analytical support, consultation, and facilitation to divisional leadership
- Develop and maintain relationships with enterprise and divisional leaders as a trusted risk advisor
- Promote effective risk management practices and continuous improvement
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of eight years related work experience
- Experience in risk management preferred
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Graduate degree preferred
- Strong conceptual and strategic thinking skills
- Strong ability to influence and persuade up, down, and across
