About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide income tax, estate planning, and/or wealth planning consultations to Vanguard's largest advised clients
  • Review client information and relevant documentation, research client issues, perform analysis, suggest solutions, and create client deliverables
  • Guide and develop wealth and estate planning crew within the advice offer
  • Partner with financial advisors supporting clients in income tax, estate planning, and financial planning
  • Align with wealth and estate planning teams in other divisions to ensure consistent service philosophy and design
  • Serve as an internal and external subject matter expert on wealth planning topics
  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives and Vanguard's external publications
  • Analyze internal systems and processes to improve client experience and mitigate risk
  • Maintain knowledge of compliance, regulatory, departmental policies and procedures, and market trends
  • Support department and team initiatives
  • Participate in special projects and perform other assigned duties
  • Travel to Vanguard offices for training, offsites, and client meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Graduate degree (JD, MBA, Master of Tax) or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Minimum of eight years related work experience in a related field preferred
  • Four years of project management experience preferred
  • Experience in financial services encouraged
  • CFP, CPA, and/or active Law License preferred, as well as other designations
  • Ability to commute to the Scottsdale, AZ, Charlotte, NC, or Malvern, PA offices
  • Willingness to support the Arizona time zone when located outside Scottsdale
  • Ability to work a hybrid three-day in-office schedule
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
  • Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position
