About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design customized data center solutions focused on electrical and mechanical infrastructure, including power, cooling, redundancy, and facility systems
Serve as a subject matter expert on data center infrastructure, building systems, and white-space fit-outs
Support high-level solution concepts for scalability, reliability, and operational alignment
Engage clients to understand business needs, technical requirements, and challenges
Conduct requirements analysis and translate business needs into technical specifications
Provide technical leadership from concept and design through implementation and post-deployment support
Partner with Design Engineering, Construction, Operations, Commercial, Legal, and other departments
Evaluate and recommend technologies, products, and services
Track emerging data center technologies and trends
Develop and lead proof-of-concept initiatives
Oversee solution testing and validation for performance, security, and reliability
Create and maintain solution design, configuration, and deployment documentation
Provide knowledge transfer and training to clients and internal teams
Support pre-sales activities, including client presentations, proposal development, and RFP responses
Create solution blueprints, cost estimates, and technical proposals
Improve solution design processes, tools, and methodologies
Contribute to solution architecture best practices and standards
Handle additional duties as assigned by Management

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required
Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in a customer-facing technical or sales engineering role, supporting electrical and mechanical data center solutions during pre-sales and early project phases
Experience with Telecom and networking
Proven experience designing and implementing complex technical solutions in the data center or technology industry
Strong organizational and project management skills
Strong understanding of data center infrastructure
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and social skills
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Ability to manage numerous projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical judgment
Travel required up to 5%, with potential to increase
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
