About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and lead the North American Planning & Scheduling function within Construction Delivery
- Establish planning standards, scheduling methodologies, governance processes, and best practices across all projects
- Drive consistency in development, construction, commissioning, and turnover schedules
- Ensure schedule integration across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and customer delivery activities
- Lead portfolio-wide schedule reviews and executive schedule governance processes
- Support schedule development, optimization, and recovery planning
- Create and maintain schedule databases using historical project data
- Implement standardized Work Breakdown Structures, Schedule of Values, and planning frameworks
- Maintain portfolio-level schedules and project-specific schedules and milestone plans
- Use schedule analytics to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance improvements
- Develop predictive planning tools to improve project forecasting and schedule certainty
- Develop executive dashboards and schedule performance reports
- Establish KPIs and schedule health metrics
- Lead schedule risk assessments, contingency planning, and recovery strategy development
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify schedule impacts and implement mitigation strategies
- Build, lead, mentor, and develop a team of planners and schedulers
- Establish career development pathways and training programs
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Architecture, or related field required
- 10+ years of experience in construction planning, scheduling, project controls, or project management
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing planning, scheduling, or project controls teams
- Experience leading scheduling programs across multiple concurrent projects
- Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and enterprise reporting platforms required
- Expert knowledge of project planning and scheduling principles
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project execution, commissioning, and turnover processes
- Advanced schedule analytics, forecasting, and risk management capabilities
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive leadership
- Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic planning skills
- Approximately 50% travel expected
- Ability to occasionally perform physical activities including standing, walking, sitting, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping or kneeling, and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds
