About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy robust, scalable applications and APIs using Java and Python
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services
  • Manage SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams to define requirements and integrate components
  • Optimize code and system performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Ensure security best practices in data handling and API authentication
  • Implement and integrate cloud services and APIs where applicable
  • Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements for existing applications and APIs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph
  • U.S. Citizen eligibility
  • Proficiency in Java and/or Python and associated frameworks such as Spring Boot, Flask, or Django
  • Strong understanding of REST, GraphQL, and SOAP API architectural styles
  • Experience with API development tools such as Postman and Swagger UI
  • Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
  • Experience with Git
  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Compliance with applicable U.S. export control/ITAR requirements where applicable
