About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the monthly reporting cycle, preparing consolidated and entity-level financial statements and management reporting packages
  • Partner with accounting on close timelines, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Perform budget-versus-actual and prior-period variance analysis and explain key drivers to leadership
  • Develop and maintain KPI reports and dashboards for operational and financial performance
  • Contribute to the annual budget process with department and site leaders
  • Build and maintain rolling forecasts and cash forecasts across multiple entities
  • Track operating expense, headcount, and capital spend against plan and flag risks and opportunities
  • Maintain planning models and templates with version control and documentation
  • Prepare and support monthly and quarterly business reviews with operations, commercial, and site leadership
  • Build analyses for board materials, investor updates, and fundraising diligence
  • Provide ad hoc analysis for commercial, operational, and strategic questions
  • Support site-level financial models, scenarios, and sensitivities for site development decisions and investment approvals
  • Support covenant calculations, compliance certificates, and lender reporting packages with accounting and legal

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2-5 years of transferable experience in financial reporting and analysis
  • Bachelor's degree with coursework in both finance and accounting; include GPA in application
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including building and auditing three-statement and project models from scratch
  • Working understanding of debt documentation concepts, including covenants, waterfalls, and reserve accounts, or demonstrated ability to get up to speed quickly
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage recurring deadlines independently
  • Located in Houston, TX or willing to relocate
  • Experience in infrastructure, project finance, energy, or a related asset-heavy sector is nice to have
  • Exposure to infrastructure tax credit monetization is nice to have
  • Experience with multi-entity structures and consolidation is nice to have
  • Familiarity with carbon markets, waste industry economics, or environmental commodities is nice to have
  • Experience supporting lender or investor diligence processes is nice to have
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
