About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Elicit requirements and create specifications for RHTP ETL/ELT solutions
- Design, develop, test, and implement ETL/ELT solutions supporting strategic initiatives and business requirements
- Build Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric pipelines
- Integrate Dataverse and source-system data
- Develop Lakehouse-based ingestion and transformation patterns
- Support curated datasets for analytics and reporting
- Design pipeline architecture, data mappings, transformation logic, validation rules, scheduling, monitoring, and deployment approaches
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and obtain end-user sign-off and satisfaction
- Follow change-control procedures and write technical documentation
- Monitor health, performance, reliability, and data quality of ETL/ELT processes
- Identify service-problem patterns and document remediation, operational procedures, mappings, and support processes
- Participate in professional development activities
- Develop and execute industry security standards for integrations
- Protect confidential healthcare information and PHI in compliance with applicable laws
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma required
- 5–7 years of development experience for incumbents with a computer industry-related degree
- 5–7 years of development experience in a healthcare or insurance-related environment may be acceptable with a bachelor's degree in any field
- Significant work experience in a field related to the duties may substitute for listed bachelor's degrees
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, and SSIS
- Experience integrating Microsoft Dataverse, enterprise applications, databases, APIs, and external data sources
- Extensive Microsoft SQL Server experience
- Expert-level SQL and T-SQL proficiency
- Knowledge of data engineering best practices, metadata-driven processing, incremental loading, data quality, security, resiliency, documentation, version control, and CI/CD automation
- Experience with Git and automated deployment frameworks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio
- Experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Platform technologies
- Experience with data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and cloud-based analytics platforms
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements, data mappings, specifications, and solution designs
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience handling and protecting PHI
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, and Office applications
- Microsoft certification in Azure, Fabric, SQL Server, Data Engineering, or related technologies preferred but not required
- Must live in NC, SC, GA, TN, VA, MD, or FL
