About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive to client sites as scheduled and communicate delays to the Service Coordinator
  • Install and set up computer hardware, software, and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot and resolve onsite workstation and printer issues
  • Support connectivity issues involving ISPs, wireless networks, DHCP, DNS, VPN, RDS, and Citrix
  • Educate clients on technical standards and best practices
  • Identify recurring issues and initiate problem tickets
  • Recommend improvements to supported hardware and software
  • Maintain accurate real-time timesheets and detailed troubleshooting and client communication notes
  • Participate in the on-call rotation one week every 3–4 months
  • Follow the VC3 Way standards and processes to deliver predictable customer outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Full-time access to a vehicle
  • Valid driver's license with no driving restrictions
  • Business class insurance for the vehicle if residing in Canada
  • 2 years of relevant technical experience OR 1 year of experience in Service Technician I or II roles at VC3
  • 2 years of experience managing Windows Client Operating Systems (10, 11), Microsoft/Office 365, Virus and Security, TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS
  • Must meet Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) requirements post-employment
  • Applicant selected will be subject to criminal and department of motor vehicles background checks
