About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Monitor network and system performance using various monitoring tools and software
Identify and troubleshoot network and system issues, escalating as necessary
Perform basic system and network configurations and deployments
Maintain accurate documentation of network and system configurations and changes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement solutions
Monitor and respond to alerts and notifications generated by network and system monitoring tools
Provide timely and effective communication of network and system issues to internal and external stakeholders
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours incidents as needed
Ensure tickets are properly created and notated to account for time
Manage personal workload and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met
Perform additional duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
Experience with network and system monitoring tools
ConnectWise Ticketing, OpenDNS, Kaseya VSA, and PRTG a plus
Knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, and switching
Basic understanding of server and operating system concepts, including Windows and Linux
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
Must meet Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) requirements post-employment
Must pass criminal and department of motor vehicles background checks
