About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Understand and map business processes.
  • Develop risk and control matrices.
  • Define the audit scope and plan, including the schedule, identification of critical/sensitive areas, and objectives.
  • Coordinate with other departments to understand processes and collect the information required for audits.
  • Perform control testing, interviews, and data analyses to assess the effectiveness of processes and internal controls.
  • Document and substantiate audit findings in accordance with Internal Audit standards and methodologies.
  • Identify potential and/or realized risks in the company's operations and assess their criticality and various impacts.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports containing observations, examples, impacts, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare concise reports (Executive Summary / One-Page Summary).
  • Present results to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommended actions.
  • Collaborate with audited departments to develop action plans and monitor the implementation of proposed improvements.
  • Follow up to ensure that identified issues have been properly resolved.
  • Stay up to date on changes in regulations, audit methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal audit processes.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A postgraduate qualification in Internal Audit / GRC is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Global Internal Audit Standards and the IPPF (IIA) is required.
  • Experience with process mapping and flowcharting.
  • Experience developing risk and control matrices.
  • Knowledge of Internal Controls / GRC is required.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Power BI.
  • Basic knowledge of technology and management systems.
  • Knowledge of GRC systems.
  • Certifications such as CIA or CISA will be considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Control Self-Assessment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Auditing / RPA / AI is preferred.
  • Strong written communication skills.
