About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Advise People & Culture and business leaders on hiring, performance management, leaves, accommodations, terminations, and reductions in force
  • Advise on federal, state, and international employment-law compliance
  • Provide day-to-day guidance on employee relations and sensitive personnel matters
  • Advise on worker classification across multiple jurisdictions
  • Support expansion into new jurisdictions, works councils, employee representative bodies, and immigration-related matters
  • Partner on compensation, equity, benefits, pay equity, and pay transparency compliance
  • Monitor employment legislation and develop readiness plans and policy updates
  • Manage employment litigation, arbitrations, administrative charges, strategy, budgets, and outside counsel
  • Advise on separation agreements, severance, and settlements
  • Provide employment-law due diligence and workforce integration support for M&A transactions
  • Advise on restrictive covenants, confidentiality agreements, and employee IP assignments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • JD (or equivalent) and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including significant employment law counseling and litigation management experience
  • Substantive experience advising on U.S. federal and multi-state employment law and international employment matters
  • Experience managing employment litigation, arbitrations, and agency charges
  • Experience partnering directly with People & Culture and business leaders in a fast-paced, global environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing outside counsel relationships and budgets
