About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own, design, develop, and test significant Veeam Kasten features related to backup and recovery of Kubernetes applications, databases, and storage systems
Expand internal tools to improve developer experience and efficiently release Veeam Kasten every sprint
Collaborate with distributed teams across different time zones and regions
Prepare technical documentation and specifications
Mentor other engineers and support projects across the product
Share responsibility for maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Resolve customer issues in a timely manner

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience developing enterprise solutions in a high-level programming language such as Go, C++, or Java
Experience with distributed systems concepts and client-server architectures
Expertise in developing, testing, and debugging production-quality, scalable, multi-threaded, and concurrent systems
Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and concurrency
BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
Experience developing in Go
Experience developing for and on containers, container schedulers, and orchestration platforms
Experience with databases and/or storage systems, especially in the public cloud
Experience developing for multiple architectures such as amd64, arm64, and ppc64le
