About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage a diverse team of Analytics Engineers at different career levels
  • Foster team growth and wellbeing while pairing with the team to solve analytical challenges
  • Work with data solutions managers and the director to ensure adequate and sustainable analytics engineering coverage across engagements
  • Work with clients to build data modeling and transformation guidelines
  • Measure and track deliverables and implement analytics engineering tools supporting data-driven decision-making
  • Develop strategies ensuring data quality and consistency across data products
  • Improve analytics engineering deliverables through internal process reviews
  • Build data visualization guidelines and measure and track reporting deliverables
  • Drive employee retention, resourcing, learning management, presales, feedback gathering, QA, and internal analytics engineering processes
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and actively contribute to analytics engineering solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Expert proficiency with data transformation tools (e.g., dbt)
  • Intermediate / expert proficiency with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake)
  • Intermediate / expert proficiency with data modeling approaches and philosophies (e.g., Kimball, OBT)
  • Knowledge of common data integration patterns (e.g., CDC, ELT, etc.)
  • Knowledge of common data integration / orchestration platforms (e.g., Fivetran, Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow)
  • Experience mentoring and advising other engineers
  • Experience optimizing resource allocation by assessing team members' strengths and assigning tasks according to their expertise while promoting skill growth
  • Frequent sitting at a desk performing work on a computer
