About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead large-scale content audits using crawl data, analytics, SEO data, and qualitative review
- Clean, combine, and analyze large content datasets to identify patterns, gaps, and prioritized recommendations
- Build or adapt tools and workflows using coding, scripts, automation, or lightweight prototypes
- Validate tool outputs and document workflows for reuse
- Develop information architecture, navigation, taxonomy, and search content requirements
- Make page-level content hierarchy and messaging recommendations
- Create content priority guides, polished presentations, and explanatory visuals
- Present recommendations, incorporate feedback, and collaborate with design, development, and client teams
- Lead defined workstreams and independently present projects to clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of content strategy experience, ideally at an agency or consultancy
- Portfolio of work on complex websites
- Experience assessing sites with thousands of pages and turning messy or incomplete data into defensible recommendations
- Ideal knowledge of Screaming Frog, web analytics platforms, and SEO research tools, and ability to interpret and combine their outputs
- Practical experience using Codex, Claude, or Figma Make for problem-solving, automation, or ideation
- Sound judgment when checking tool output and handling client data
- Ability to identify ineffective workflows and build or adapt better ones
- Technical fluency with structured data and web fundamentals
- Ideal familiarity with GitHub and basic scripting or development skills such as Python, JavaScript, or HTML/CSS
- Strong presentation design, storytelling, client communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
