About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as primary point of contact for a portfolio of global data partners contributing to the Global Data Network
- Build and maintain trusted long-term relationships with partner-site data teams
- Track partner-specific data governance requirements and compliance obligations
- Monitor partner performance against turnaround-time commitments and resolve delays or bottlenecks
- Lead negotiation of data use agreements, data partner contracts, and renewal terms
- Partner with Legal and Compliance to ensure agreements meet regulatory, privacy, and data governance standards
- Own the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, redlining, execution, and renewal/expiration tracking
- Structure flexible engagement terms balancing partner sustainability with commercial speed
- Translate client research questions into cohort and dataset specifications
- Identify suitable data partners and coordinate sourcing end-to-end
- Review datasets for completeness, accuracy, and fitness for purpose
- Coordinate harmonization of clinical, genomic, imaging, and pathology data into curated client-ready packages
- Partner with data scientists and domain experts to resolve quality issues, gaps, and inconsistencies
- Maintain documentation and quality-control records
- Own project timelines from initial request through data delivery
- Flag turnaround-time risks and drive mitigation plans
- Provide status updates and reporting to the SVP of Sales, Life Sciences and Global Data Networks and the commercial team
- Identify process improvements to reduce sourcing, contracting, and delivery time
- Connect Commercial, Data Science, Legal/Compliance, and external data partners
- Support pre-sales scoping by advising on data feasibility, contract terms, and realistic timelines
- Surface gaps and new partnership opportunities in the GDN network
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, health informatics, public health, data science, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience)
- 5-7 years of experience in program/project management, data operations, clinical data management, or a similar role within life sciences, real-world data (RWD), or healthcare data environments
- Experience supporting or leading contract/agreement negotiations, such as data use agreements, vendor or partner contracts
- Working knowledge of clinical and genomic data types, including EMR/EHR, WES, WGS, RNA-Seq, proteomics, pathology, and radiology
- Understanding of data quality principles, cohort/stratification concepts, and data harmonization challenges across multimodal sources
- Familiarity with data privacy, de-identification standards, and healthcare data regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, or equivalent
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent requests, timelines, and stakeholders
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills across technical, commercial, legal, and external partner audiences
- Self-directed and detail-oriented, with comfort operating in a fast-moving, federated, multi-partner environment
- Preferred: experience with federated data networks, biobanks, or multi-institution data consortia
- Preferred: background in genomics, bioinformatics, or clinical research coordination
- Preferred: experience with IRB processes or research governance
- Preferred: prior experience supporting a commercial or business development team from a technical/data operations seat
