About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical/electronic components of machinery and equipment
- Replace faulty switches and defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures
- Troubleshoot, program, and maintain PLCs
- Inspect and test electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits
- Diagnose malfunctioning transformers, motors, lighting fixtures, and other apparatus using test equipment
- Replace damaged or broken wires and cables
- Install, repair, overhaul, modify, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery
- Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electrical, electronic, and mechanical components throughout the plant
- Maintain plant power distribution systems, perform preventive maintenance, and install wiring, conduit, and apparatus
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical panels and maintain equipment-program backups
- Assist with preparing building components and systems for trades units and/or contractors
- Disassemble and install equipment and fixtures
- Follow food safety policies, procedures, and regulatory criteria
- Perform other assigned duties; travel may be required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associates Degree in Electronics, Electronic Technology or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance of industrial equipment and machinery, including PLC
- Working knowledge and experience with Ladder Logic
- Working knowledge of electronic and electrical concepts and operating safety
- Demonstrated ability to use electronic and electrical test equipment, including digital and analog volt and ohm-meters, oscilloscopes, data analyzers and circuit testers
- Knowledge of current national electrical code
- Ability to follow electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications
- Ability to follow food safety policies, procedures, and regulatory criteria, including SQF code, GMPs, and FSMA and associated preventive controls
