About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Physically pull raw materials from warehouse locations based on quantity and product for customer orders
- Enter each material transaction into the RF system
- Return residual materials accurately to their correct warehouse locations using an RF scanner
- Perform material movements in warehouse and production areas
- Weigh returned materials and update inventory with correct quantity and weight
- Assign new pallet tags
- Count materials using basic math and a calculator, including metric-system weight calculations
- Shrink-wrap materials onto pallets for prep-room processing
- Scan correct tags to each item picked for production
- Report material shortages for reordering to meet customer order deadlines
- Perform other general duties as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous production or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to work in refrigerated areas
- Ability to lift 60 lbs. or more
- Experience using an RF Scanner
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to perform basic math and use the Metric System
- Ability to multitask according to priority
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Licensed forklift or handtruck driver
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a production or warehouse/distribution environment
- Must be able to pass skills and written tests for sit-down and/or stand-up forklift license/certification
- Excellent math skills
- Computer literacy, preferably RF Smart experience
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
- Willingness and ability to work typical 8–12 hour shifts, with possible unscheduled after-hours and weekend work
- Ability to work in adverse temperatures and potentially around vibrations, chemicals, fumes, food allergens, confined or dark spaces, and heights over 18 feet
