About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set up and assemble the palletizer for production runs
Set the number and pattern for each pallet and order
Stack products according to designated pallet patterns, minimizing overhang, keeping cases straight, avoiding leaning, and cross-tying tiers as required
Visually inspect shippers for unsealed, damaged, stained, or incorrectly coded cases
Inspect each pallet before transfer to shipping for cleanliness, board and nail condition, and moisture
Stack products on the correct pallet type, such as CHEP, Grade A White, or Phytosanitary pallets
Transport pallets with a pallet jack
Maintain operational sanitation, including trash removal and re-boxing damaged products
Load tape onto tape machines and adjust the machines
Operate a semi-automatic shrink-wrap machine
Maintain documentation of production output
Communicate and shift handoff to the incoming operator
Accurately scan production cases
Follow food safety policies, procedures, SQF code, GMPs, FSMA, and associated preventive controls
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
1 or more years of experience
Good judgment, strength and stamina
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work at a fast pace
Ability to identify and report food safety and food security concerns
Ability to follow food safety policies, procedures and regulatory criteria, including the current SQF code, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and associated preventive controls
