About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Research and resolve daily production variances to maintain accurate production reporting
  • Monitor the production floor to ensure inventory transactions are performed accurately and timely
  • Collect and reconcile batch sheets and maintain the batch sheet verification log
  • Resolve batch sheet issues by working closely with Production Group Leaders
  • Research production issues at statuses 81-90 and report necessary information to Accounting
  • Troubleshoot status 88 work orders in JDE and provide variance details to the Manufacturing Accountant and Inventory Control Supervisor
  • Maintain scan error, operator error, and other requested reports
  • Compile and update Overall Equipment Effectiveness reporting using Quality and Production data
  • Update the manufacturing plant SharePoint site and report to the Finance Manager and Production Manager
  • Verify and compare master versus pallets to ensure dual scanning procedures are followed
  • Assist with cycle counts and other inventory tasks
  • Provide backup coverage to Inventory Control Clerks, including lift driving, usage-variance research, culprit-item research, and inventory-discrepancy resolution
  • Prepare Production, Financial, and Distribution reports as assigned
  • Follow Food Safety policies, procedures, and regulatory criteria, including SQF, Good Manufacturing Practices, FSMA, and associated Preventive Controls
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Associates degree in business preferred
  • Prefer 3 years experience in manufacturing accounting or inventory control
  • Computer skills required
  • Preferable experience in Microsoft Office software and/or accounting software
  • JDE experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good math skills and ability to operate a 10-key adding machine/calculator
  • Detail oriented with good reasoning ability in making sound business decisions
  • Full knowledge of the manufacturing side of JDE and product setup
  • Ability to work independently and excellent organizational skills
  • Supports SQF Programs
  • Must be able and willing to work typical 8-12 hour shifts, including possible after-hours and weekends
  • Must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more with assistance
