About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and execute Learning & Development processes, programs, systems, and performance support materials
- Facilitate Learning & Development events professionally and precisely
- Function as an expert user of LMS, LCMS, learning design software, and project management software
- Work cross-functionally on enterprise-level projects and training rollouts
- Design learner-focused, engaging, interactive, and job-relevant eLearning, instructor-led, virtual, observational, evaluation, and knowledge-test content
- Maintain working knowledge of Articulate 360, Alchemy Creator, Adobe, Camtasia, Final Cut Pro, and related software
- Apply ADDIE, SAM, Agile, and other learning methodologies to evaluate and enhance training offerings
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to revise, create, and enhance SOPs, job aids, OPLs, Theory of Operations, and other performance support documents
- Execute training projects end-to-end, including needs assessment, project charter, budget adherence, timelines, KPIs, measurement, and evaluation using the Kirkpatrick Model
- Facilitate Functional Excellence classes such as Certified Trainer, Chemical Safety Training, and Pump/Mill Training
- Facilitate Leadership Effectiveness classes including Emerging Leader and Frontline Leader training
- Provide materials and expertise for Learning & Development events
- Use audio/visual equipment and production techniques to capture photos and videos for training materials
- Work with subject matter experts to capture assets that reinforce policies and procedures and maintain brand integrity
- Perform coordinator duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Equivalent industry-level certification a plus
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a professional Learning & Development role in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated technical expertise in Microsoft Suite, Articulate 360, Adobe Software, etc.
- Project management capabilities
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled in facilitating meetings and/or learning events in face-to-face and/or virtual environments
- Knowledge of various facilitation methods and techniques
- Skilled in designing performance support materials and learning assets, including role plays, self-assessments, training manuals, and job aids
- Ability to work cross-functionally with departments, facilities, contractors, the L&D Team, and other stakeholders
- Functional knowledge of communication technologies and applications, including video conferencing, web-conferencing, audience response systems, and presentation software
- Work history demonstrating Integrity, Customer Focus, Teamwork, and Personal Ownership
- Effective problem-solving, innovation, and communication skills
- Ability to meet physical demands including intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
- Occasional ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more with assistance
- Willingness and ability to wear required personal protective equipment
- Willingness and ability to work typical 8–12 hour shifts, including possible unscheduled after-hours and weekend work
- May be required to work outdoors, in adverse temperatures, around vibrations, chemicals, fumes, food allergens, confined or dark spaces, and at heights over 18 feet
