About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advise potential clients via email, phone, and video to guide them toward the right expedition
- Communicate with providers to confirm prices, block spaces, and negotiate deals
- Collaborate with Marketing on how to best market polar trips
- Improve client experience before and after the sale based on traveler feedback
- Update and maintain accurate product, itinerary, and pricing information
- Use digital tools and AI to streamline routine tasks and improve output
- Support the continuous improvement of Polartours processes and standards
- Report directly to the Director of Booking Platforms
- Sell exclusive expedition cruises to Antarctica and the Arctic
Requirements
What you’ll need- Native or near-native English skills
- A second language (ideally German) at C2 level
- At least 2+ years of proven sales experience with clear results
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts aligned to US time zones (preferably Pacific Time)
- Strong prioritization skills and the ability to say “no” when needed
- Ability and motivation to integrate AI tools into your workflow for efficiency
- Passion for the planet’s polar regions and sustainable business and tourism
- Motivation to submit a motivation letter in English
- Firsthand experience visiting Antarctica or the Arctic, previous polar expedition sales experience, a third spoken language, SEO or digital marketing interest/experience, and knowledge of ships/operators/expedition logistics are advantageous
