About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Travel between several industrial sites across East Yorkshire, mainly based in Hull
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works on effluent treatment, steam boiler and district heating sites
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers during planned services
- Ensure contractual service expectations are delivered for the customer
- Review and maintain on-site documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, SOPs, COSHH and SDS
- Work with supervisors and team members to complete statutory maintenance and maintain site compliance
- Contribute to monthly engineering meetings and continuous improvement
- Report near misses and safety concerns and support investigation and close-out of actions
- Support a strong HSE culture
Requirements
What you’ll need- HNC or ONC level qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred
- Previous experience with steam boilers and industrial effluent treatment (DAF Plants) beneficial
- Health & Safety awareness qualification (IOSH)
- Gas Safe, BOAS and IEE 18th Edition beneficial, with on-the-job training available
- Willingness to develop and upskill through targeted training
- Strong problem-solving ability and adaptability
- Full clean UK driving licence
