About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage day-to-day service delivery, including dynamic allocation of work to vehicles and routes
Communicate with customers and stakeholders, provide status updates, and maintain contact with drivers
Manage completion of debriefs with front-line staff and report necessary actions or updates
Engage face-to-face with drivers and support them in addressing route issues
Report safety concerns or container damage and encourage stopping work when continuation is unsafe
Support the Operations Manager with Veolia legal compliance on-site, including WTD, O’licence, and transport compliance
Drive continuous improvement in KPI performance
Maintain the direct reporting line for all drivers and Service Coordinators

Requirements

What you’ll need

Good communication skills, including communicating with people of all levels, drivers, frontline employees, and customers
Ability to organise a busy workload and operate at a fast pace
UK Driving licence
Previous experience operating within a similar industry, waste/transport/logistics
Understanding of transport compliance and WTD
Ability to work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30am–5pm, plus Saturdays on a rota basis and Bank holidays
