About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to and help lead frontend development within the Vergent platform, turning designs and requirements into polished, responsive interfaces
  • Partner with Development and Product to improve UI, usability, and the overall user experience across the platform
  • Own the development, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of Vergent's WordPress website
  • Build and update responsive website pages, landing pages, and custom functionality, partnering with Marketing on initiatives and improvements
  • Identify opportunities to improve usability, consistency, and visual design across both the product and the website
  • Troubleshoot frontend and WordPress issues and maintain website performance
  • Take projects from concept through implementation and collaborate across Development, Product, and Marketing to ship them

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong WordPress development experience
  • Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills
  • Proven experience building responsive, user-friendly interfaces
  • Strong understanding of UI and UX principles
  • Strong attention to detail and visual consistency
  • Ability to take a project from concept through implementation independently
  • WordPress development experience, including custom themes and PHP preferred
  • Strong candidates without WordPress custom themes and PHP experience should be comfortable owning WordPress within the first few months
  • Experience working on a SaaS product preferred
  • An eye for design strong enough to improve on what is handed to you
