About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and execute the strategic vision for assigned verticals
Align long- and short-term priorities with enterprise objectives and integrated go-to-market plans
Lead, coach, and develop the Strategist team
Establish priorities, performance expectations, operating standards, and career pathways
Optimize team capacity and assignments and build a strategy talent pipeline
Guide strategists in consulting with Sales, clients, and internal partners
Identify business objectives and develop insight-led strategies and differentiated solutions
Advance high-value opportunities through the sales pipeline
Identify, prioritize, and scale new business opportunities, partnerships, and emerging growth channels
Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, Analytics, Finance, and Operations on execution
Establish and monitor measures for strategist effectiveness, pipeline contribution, revenue growth, and return on investment
Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership
Represent Vericast as a vertical and client strategy thought leader
Make decisions regarding growth initiatives, strategist resources, team structure, client focus areas, and strategic recommendations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, finance, or a related field required
15+ years of progressive experience in vertical strategy, client strategy, marketing, sales strategy, or related leadership roles
Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing strategist or consultative teams
Success translating market and client insights into growth strategies, revenue opportunities, and measurable business outcomes
Experience in financial services and data-driven marketing solutions preferred
Strategic leadership, organizational design, talent development, and succession planning capabilities
Deep understanding of vertical, client, and go-to-market strategy
Knowledge of market research, competitive intelligence, and data analytics
Ability to convert complex insights into business recommendations, differentiated client strategies, and executable growth plans
Executive-level communication, presentation, influence, and relationship-building skills
Ability to lead through change, ambiguity, and a highly matrixed environment
Experience with advanced marketing analytics and data visualization tools
Experience with CRM and client management platforms
Experience with financial planning and reporting tools
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration applications
