About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Schedule and conduct on-site visits and complete reports to evaluate customer risk
- Identify business operations, construction materials, fire protection systems, and safety measures
- Develop recommendations concerning safety and loss control
- Represent Verisk and its customers professionally by phone, in person, and in writing
- Complete accurate, customer-centric reports in support of data quality
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience
- Preferred fields include Risk Management and Insurance, Construction Management, Property and Liability Insurance, or Safety
- Experience may include insurance loss control, underwriting or claims; commercial building construction, compliance or property inspections; fire safety and industrial safety occupations
- Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to write concise and informative reports to quality standards
- Proficiency with technology, laptops, mobile devices, MS Office suite, and mobile applications
- Working aptitude for measuring square feet, perimeter, and percentages
- Self-motivated planning and goal-setting skills
- Ability to route, schedule, document, and conduct site visits with minimal direct supervision
- Ability to record details and measurements, gather data, map, and travel between sites
- Ability to work in various environments and weather conditions
- Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, drive for periods required to complete assignments, and occasionally use ladders
- Professional designations such as CFPS, CSP, ARM, ALCM, NFPA, or CPCU are advantageous
