About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer and tune the Oracle EPBCS / EPM Cloud Planning application, including dimensions, forms, business rules, and security
  • Own the FP&A systems AI roadmap and move selected use cases into production
  • Embed AI and machine learning, including Oracle IPM Insights, Predictive Planning forecasts, anomaly detection, and generative AI variance commentary
  • Build AI assistants and automations for plain-language data queries and reduced manual effort
  • Partner with IT, data governance, and security on responsible AI deployment, controls, validation, and training
  • Build driver-based revenue growth, cost allocation, and business-unit profitability models
  • Build cash flow forecasting capability in EPM Cloud
  • Align planning structures with Accounting actuals and chart of accounts
  • Maintain automated data and metadata integrations and resolve daily load failures
  • Maintain reconciliation routines and controls for plan, forecast, and actuals
  • Support annual budget, multi-year plan, quarterly forecasts, and quarter- and year-end reporting
  • Automate recurring reporting and deliver ad hoc analysis
  • Manage Oracle quarterly updates, regression testing, and impact communications
  • Train and support users, triage requests, and maintain documentation and SOPs
  • Lead and develop one direct report

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience building and supporting FP&A systems on the Oracle Hyperion / EPM suite
  • At least 3 years hands-on experience in EPBCS or EPM Cloud Planning
  • Experience delivering AI/ML or generative AI solutions for finance, from use-case definition through user adoption
  • Strong command of Essbase (BSO/ASO), calculation scripts, business rules, and Groovy scripting
  • Experience with data integration, metadata management, user security, and process automation using PowerShell, Python, or batch scripting
  • Experience building automated reporting solutions using Oracle Financial Reports, Narrative Reporting, Power BI, or scheduled Smart View reporting
  • Expert-level Smart View and Excel skills, including lookups, pivots, advanced formulas, and template design
  • Understanding of corporate and business-unit planning, forecasting, and reporting processes
  • Clear written and verbal communication, with ability to explain technical topics to finance users
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Experience mentoring or supervising analysts or developers
  • Experience with other Oracle EPM modules or a Hyperion-to-cloud migration is a plus
