About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical leadership through architectural decisions, trade-off evaluation, design and code reviews, developer mentoring, and establishment of engineering best practices
  • Lead initial setup and configuration of Sitecore JSS and Next.js TypeScript projects
  • Integrate SSR, SSG, and ISG for performance and scalability
  • Configure build tools, CI/CD pipelines, and development environments
  • Develop dynamic, responsive user interfaces with React, TypeScript, SCSS, and Sitecore JSS
  • Integrate Sitecore Experience Editor for real-time content editing
  • Implement reusable components, hooks, and React state-management libraries
  • Write and maintain Jest unit tests and implement end-to-end testing for UI and API integration
  • Collaborate with QA to ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • Optimize frontend performance using code-splitting and lazy-loading
  • Implement Content Security Policy (CSP) and maintain client-side rendering security
  • Optimize SEO using SSR and SSG best practices
  • Collaborate with backend developers on API integration and data flow
  • Work with UI/UX designers to translate mockups into high-quality code
  • Participate in code reviews and Agile development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proficient in React, Next.js, TypeScript, SCSS, and HTML5
  • Strong understanding of Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Static Site Generation (SSG), and Incremental Static Regeneration (ISG)
  • Proven experience designing frontend architecture from scratch, including project structure, component architecture, coding standards, state-management strategy, API/data-access patterns, error handling, logging, and observability
  • Strong Next.js architecture knowledge, including routing, caching/revalidation, server/client component boundaries, middleware, authentication, error handling, image/font optimization, and production deployment considerations
  • 6–8 years of practical experience using the listed technologies
  • 2+ years in a technical lead or architect role with ownership of frontend architecture decisions
  • Experience with Sitecore JSS for creating editable components
  • Understanding of integrating Sitecore Experience Editor
  • Proficient with Jest for unit testing
  • Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) practices
  • Experience optimizing web performance, particularly in SSR/SSG environments
  • Experience working with Git and CI/CD tools
  • Familiarity with setting up projects from scratch, including project structure, build configurations, and deployment pipelines
  • Minimum hiring age of 18, except where a higher age limit applies by law
