About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead discovery efforts with the trio to deeply understand the problem space
  • Validate product ideas with real users through interviews, shadowing, and testing
  • Prioritize opportunities based on customer desirability, business viability, engineering feasibility, and design usability
  • Translate validated opportunities into clear user stories, requirements, and success criteria
  • Manage a transparent backlog reflecting current priorities and expected outcomes
  • Ensure continuous delivery of measurable, valuable iterations
  • Partner with engineering and QA to deliver high-quality, usable, and performant solutions
  • Establish, communicate, and manage the product release cadence
  • Define and track success metrics
  • Use analytics tools, support tickets, and qualitative feedback to drive product decisions
  • Validate impact using data and adjust direction as needed
  • Conduct research using industry trends, market data, and customer feedback
  • Track and report product progress, including initiative success or failure
  • Make product decisions within established frameworks under senior product leadership guidance
  • Keep stakeholders informed while maintaining team autonomy
  • Collaborate with claims operations, marketing, sales, and customer success teams
  • Contribute to quarterly planning by connecting team initiatives to company OKRs
  • Represent the product during customer calls and internal and external meetings
  • Support strategy for property estimating solutions
  • Complete performance objectives, special projects, and other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, design, insurance, or a related field, or equivalent work-related experience and training
  • 1–3 years of experience in product management, business analysis, UX, or technical roles
  • Proficiency in leveraging AI to achieve improved results
  • Demonstrate proficiency in product discovery to define problems, understand users, and deliver business outcomes
  • Solid grasp of agile and product operating model principles
  • Excellent communication skills for storytelling, alignment, and documentation
  • A growth mindset with high curiosity and humility
  • Intermediate understanding of property claims, restoration, and contracting industries preferred
  • Understanding of Xactware's core products and insurance estimating concepts preferred
  • Experience with product analytics tools
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously
  • Strong time and priority management skills
  • Experience with Agile work management and issue tracking tools such as JIRA
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer research or industry events
