About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead enterprise-wide, global resource management across Veristat.
- Manage near-term resource assignments, longer-range capacity planning, demand forecasting, and workforce visibility.
- Partner across Service Lines, functions, geographies, and resource management stakeholders to align resources with client and project needs.
- Monitor current and future capacity using project forecasts, backlog, and sales pipeline data.
- Anticipate demand, identify resource gaps and risks, and support timely, data-informed workforce decisions.
- Establish and drive consistent enterprise resource management standards, reporting, data quality, governance, and system adoption.
- Manage immediate and ad hoc resourcing needs while maintaining a longer-range enterprise workforce planning perspective.
- Document, implement, standardize, and improve resource management processes, governance, planning standards, and decision frameworks across multiple functions or business areas.
- Partner with and influence senior leaders on workforce practices, resource priorities, capacity constraints, and enterprise planning decisions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 6+ years of experience in resource management, capacity planning, workforce planning, project operations, or a related discipline within a Contract Research Organization (CRO), biopharmaceutical company, or professional services environment.
- 5+ years of management experience required.
- Demonstrated experience managing resource and capacity planning in a services-based environment; experience supporting multiple functions, Service Lines, or geographies is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of clinical research and drug development operating models, project lifecycles, and the resource demands of a CRO environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to translate project demand, timelines, complexity, required competencies, specialized role requirements, and workforce availability into effective short- and long-term resource plans and assignments.
- Experience working in a deadline-driven, global environment with the ability to manage immediate and ad hoc resourcing needs while maintaining a longer-range enterprise workforce planning perspective.
- Strong analytical and data skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with resource planning, financial, project management, HR, or reporting systems; OpenAir and NetSuite experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across international, cross-functional, and matrixed teams, align stakeholders with differing priorities, and influence decisions without direct authority.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills, with demonstrated experience partnering with and influencing senior leaders on workforce practices, resource priorities, capacity constraints, and enterprise planning decisions.
- Strong follow-through, organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple competing priorities across the enterprise.
- Experience documenting, implementing, standardizing, and improving resource management processes, governance, planning standards, and decision frameworks across multiple functions or business areas.
