About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evolve and update the QA strategy covering functional, regression, and integration testing across web and mobile platforms
  • Build and maintain automated test suites to reduce manual testing effort and accelerate release cycles
  • Identify and document critical defects early in the development lifecycle
  • Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for new features and existing functionality
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across web and mobile platforms
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to define acceptance criteria and ensure quality standards are met before release
  • Track and report on test coverage, defect trends, and quality metrics
  • Build and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts
  • Identify opportunities to expand automation coverage across the platform
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery
  • Apply AI to evolve the QA function while maintaining high product quality
  • Identify, document, and prioritize defects with reproduction steps and severity assessments
  • Work closely with developers to troubleshoot issues and verify fixes
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies and contribute to understanding quality risks and trade-offs
  • Improve QA processes, tools, and best practices
  • Advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Help establish and maintain testing environments and test data management practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance or a related testing role
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing frameworks, and defect lifecycle management
  • Proven experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar)
  • Experience using AI tools to enhance the QA process
  • Skilled in writing clear, detailed test plans, test cases, and bug reports
  • Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for finding edge cases
  • Excellent communicator who can clearly articulate quality concerns and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proactive problem-solver who takes ownership of quality outcomes
  • Passionate about sustainability, innovative technology, and creating positive impact
  • Certifications like ISTQB or similar QA certifications are a plus (not mandatory)
  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured) is a nice to have
  • Familiarity with mobile testing across iOS and Android platforms is a nice to have
  • Exposure to geospatial, environmental, or data-heavy platforms is a nice to have
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like Jira is a nice to have
