Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and enhance Java backend APIs and services using Spring Boot, ensuring efficient and well-structured consumption of consolidated data in OneData
Design and implement event-driven architecture (Pub/Sub), promoting resilient integration between systems and the progressive decoupling of legacy components
Build adaptation layers, such as adapters, facades, and BFFs, enabling the incremental migration of consumers without operational impact
Structure and optimize critical endpoints for Domiciliar workflows, including scheduling, feasibility, routing, and profitability, ensuring performance and scalability
Define and implement data-access and API-exposure standards, including versioning, pagination, advanced filters, aggregations, and caching strategies
Support the transition between data models and contract versions, ensuring safe coexistence between versions, compatibility, and progressive architectural evolution
Implement robust resilience and performance practices, such as circuit breakers, retries, timeouts, fallbacks, and rate limiting, ensuring stability in critical environments
Identify and mitigate latency bottlenecks, excessive resource consumption, and database and cache overload
Ensure comprehensive API observability through structured logs, metrics, distributed tracing, and error and latency monitoring
Document API and event contracts, as well as technical decisions, promoting clarity, governance, and continuity across teams
Work at a Digital Transformation and Engineering consultancy that modernizes applications, architecture, software, data, and processes through artificial intelligence

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid experience in Java backend development
Strong command of Spring Boot for building and evolving APIs and microservices
Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging / Pub/Sub mechanisms
Experience integrating systems, modernizing legacy applications, and building adaptation layers
Knowledge of REST API design best practices, including versioning, pagination, filters, contracts, and cross-version compatibility
Experience with resilience, scalability, and performance practices in distributed environments
Knowledge of observability, including logs, metrics, tracing, and monitoring
Ability to work in highly critical contexts, with strong technical judgment and a focus on operational stability
Strong communication skills for technical documentation and collaboration with different teams
Preferred: experience with architectural transformation and incremental migration of legacy systems
Preferred: experience with BFFs, facades, and adapters in complex integration scenarios
Preferred: experience with critical operational workflows, high-volume systems, or environments with extensive inter-system dependencies
Preferred: knowledge of caching strategies, performance tuning, and resource-consumption optimization
Preferred: previous experience in complex corporate environments with multiple teams and a need for technical governance
