About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee technical direction in collaboration with Architects
Drive successful delivery of solutions while ensuring quality, performance, and scalability
Collaborate with Product and UX teams to translate client needs into high-impact solutions
Build full-stack test automation and enforce engineering best practices
Optimize application performance and reliability in a cloud environment
Serve as the technical authority and primary point of contact for the squad
Guide architectural discussions, code reviews, and implementation decisions
Ensure adherence to coding standards, architectural principles, and security best practices
Identify and introduce tools and frameworks to improve team efficiency and product quality
Establish and evolve the technical foundation and culture for the Application Development squad
Partner with Product Managers and Technical Project Managers to define scope, timelines, and priorities
Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders
Collaborate with other leads to ensure alignment across squads and technical domains
Provide day-to-day technical mentorship and unblock challenges
Help onboard and support new engineers
Collaborate with People Managers on development opportunities and performance feedback
Improve team productivity and efficiency through processes and tooling

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS or BA in Computer Science or related field
10+ years of full-stack development experience with Java/Spring Boot backend and React/Angular with TypeScript/JavaScript frontend
Strong understanding of application architecture, design patterns, and performance optimization
Proven experience leading technical projects or teams in an agile environment
Proficiency with REST APIs, GraphQL, and SQL and NoSQL database technologies
Hands-on experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Curiosity and willingness to learn, teach, and grow within a collaborative team environment
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud computing platforms
Experience with end-to-end testing frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cucumber
Exposure to advanced UI frameworks, charting libraries, or design systems such as AG Grid or D3
Familiarity with accessibility and responsive design principles
Experience in financial services, particularly syndicated loans or leveraged finance
Track record of building scalable enterprise applications within a regulated domain
